PSP sabbatical ditched for doujinshi sabbatical. (Translation: I got my new FIREHOUSE dj, and am the happy.)

As the title says

(10:36 am PT) - Speaking of music...
[link] - (naughty)
I now hold in my hot little hands the Wolf's Rain OST. Domestic release, though, so I don't know if I'm missing anything from, say the import. I might try and get that later. But for now, must go listen...
...especially since CN doesn't like to play the opening animation for
anything, it seems. Ratbastards.

(11:00 pm PT) - Sensual knots
[link] - (naughty)
For the record, there's something extremely erotic about two guys who can tie a cherry stem in a knot while kissing.
This pointless post courtesy of my newly acquired DMC2 doujinshi.

(9:09 pm PT) - Sugar... need lots of sugar... the drug of choice...
[link] - (naughty)
Domino - Sounds positively wonderful. I can also squick the hell out of my family even more. They keep making faces at a nude Link I bought at Ycon 2002. /^o^\
Ki - I take payment in houseboys, you know that. Oh yeah, and I'm currently on 92nd, between Fir and Gibbon.
Dear computer. You ate my Xmas fics. I'll have to punish you, oh yes. I'm going to pipe boybands through your speakers, then leave. I know you, comp. You hate the noise as much as I do. You keep crashing when it looks like I'm going anywhere near a boyband. So it will be a fitting punishment for losing my hard-earned work and making me start over.
In other news. I need addresses. (Not yours,
Mina, I have it.) I'm sending out Xmas fudge... though I'm warring with the shape. I know I can find some x-rated cut-out shapes if I look hard enough...
Mm, fudge penises...

(2:14 pm PT) - fetish/kink...
[link] - (naughty)
Some things should not be sexually legal for the sake of one's sanity.
Conair's bath spa unit with the hose attachment is one of them.
Your minds can just run with that one...

(9:43 am PT) - Enough, I'm taking a break
[link] - (naughty)
I think I'll stay away from LJ today. Especially after yesterday. In fact, I'm pretending yesterday never happened. Seemed everywhere I went on the net, something annoyed me.
I'm also going to coin some new phrases... but I have a half-devil in leather who needs to kill something, and I feel I must oblige just to quell my own carnal bloodlust. The phrases will have to wait.
Leave us never mention that horrid mind-controlling group of snobbish yaoi elitists ever again upon this page, so help me leather.

(3:45 pm PT) - More thoughts on DMC2
[link] - (naughty)
I think some people forget a very important fact about both DMC and DMC2. That is, neither game is an RPG. Therefore, a plot isn't at the heart of the game. It's like an action movie, toss in any ol' thing to give a reason for blowing something up or killing it.
Besides, I'll be the first one to admit, I only see Dante as a sex object. I don't need him to talk, just stand there and look good, or kill. I'm happy either way.
Now, if you load the disc and hit start, then go to the options menu, there's a bit of music there that I admit to being in love with, and would kill to have a copy of it. Wonder if any music will be released, though I doubt it. (I'm just hoping there's another artbook in the works.
(9:39 am PT) - A videogame character should not be that damn drop-dead dangerous sexy
[link] - (naughty)
I played up to mission 5 of DMC2. One word for it.
sweet. Goddess, a videogame character shouldn't
be that sexy. It's illegal! Oh but Dante is, he definitely is. And extra points for new outfit. There's something to be said for black leather vests. My bondage fetish squealed, I'm sure.
They changed his voice actor. I'm not sure how I feel about this, but since he hasn't said much, it doesn't make a difference really. Although I do miss the cheesy lines and general trash talking. Yes, he had
bad lines, but they had a very rough charm. Though in a way, I like the silent act. It's like him saying, "I'm so bad I can kill you with my style alone." I wouldn't be surprised if he could, too.
And then there's Lucia. I don't care, repeat, do not
care what anyone else says, she's Black. HelLO, Haiti, most likely. Her facial features, skintone, body shape... Anyone who says otherwise either hasn't seen her or has some issues that need to be worked out. Now, that aside, I like her a lot more than Trish. Why? Trish annoyed me just by talking most times. She annoyed me because she had the depth of a flea as far as character development went. And she annoyed me because she looked like a zipper turned to the side, (while looking at her front on no less). Lucia is not any of that. She's got hips, and I mean hips. She looks like a
woman. She has her own weapons, and she hasn't said too much (of course I'm playing Dante's disc, but I plan to get to Lucia's too). I do so like her weapons, too. And she doesn't come off as a hard-ass bitch the way Trish did. You can tell she
is, but she doesn't have to
prove it. Her actions speak much louder, as does her silence so far.
Enough of that, to the game itself. They did one thing right in the new controls by moving the dodge button to the button pad instead of one of the shoulder mounts. That, and oh
man you should see him run and flip off the walls. Then there's the rainstorm, where he jumps in the air, goes into a vertical line while facing down and firing on the enemy. On anyone else, this would just look merely flashy. On him it's
wicked.
Did I mention liking his wardrobe? I can't say that enough. It's like they took whatever he wore from the first one DMC, trenchcoat and all, then bound it at the chest by that black leather vest (and if it's not leather, it sure looks like it to me). So he still has the tails that catch the wind or the currents and just keep his style factor up.
Weapons. The handguns return, though they don't call them Ebony and Ivory this time out. Sad, I like those names. Got the shotgun so far. Swords, he's got something called Renegade. (Probably because he let that trick Trish take Sparda's sword. Ugh.) New feature is the ability to level up the weapons. Since I'm still early into the game, I can't say how this will impact gameplay. Current theory is you could actually have the handguns stronger than one fo the other guns if you level it up right.
Instead of the swords or close combat weapons being used as the devil triggers, we now have the addition of the amulet. The amulet can hold up to three pieces, and each piece will control on aspect of his new devil state. So far he's got an eletric element, and he can either fly or run extremely fast.
Unfortunately, no game is perfect, so there are of course cons. One, inability to control camera angle. Sometimes you just can't see what you're shooting at, you just know
something's there. Two, the new target feature is both a boon and a curse, as you may forget you can override whatever target Dante's locked on, which will cause you to shoot at one enemy instead of the one just overhead getting ready to make you one with the pavement. The new trigger gauge fills up slower than before, and items are a lot more expensive. (I guess the war economy affected everyone.) There
seems to be a lack of level difficulty control, though that could be me. I'll have to read up on that one later. If I'm doing this at normal, well, I'm not ready.
Of course there's more than what I've covered here. This isn't a true review, but more like gushing just to get it out my system. Besides, I'm
only on mission 5. So there's more to see.
I want Dante's clothes... preferably with him still in them.
