"Oh yeah..."
8/07/2001

Harlen: Never heard of Ani DiFranco. Would you be recommending her? And if so, what song in particular?
Raine: You know... that's how a lot of Slash fans first got intoduced... by running away in terror the first time. ^^:
Amber: I personally don't think your entry needs editing. It's your journal, and it's the best place to get things out. And I understand about getting tired. It happens to the best of us. We're human, we can't stay at our peak all the time. You need to rest, and not just your body.

Though I'm feeling tired all the time, so I know that's not good either. What kind of rest can one give the soul, anyway?

Thanks! ^^

Thanks for the support, Gen. I actually feel somewhat better now, after blasting a Freshman's ear to near-deafness by out-playing their part in the "Back to the Future" Theme song when I'm just a wimpy little Mellophone player. ^_^ I proved that I can hit a high A on a trumpet! WHOOPEE!!!

That's perfectly understandable, considering. And it's nice to see an open minded male in regards to it the fandom. Of course, we all know you're very unique for your 'species', and for that, we're very happy to know you.

I never ran from slash or shounen-ai. I believe my very first reaction to both was "Hey, cool! They actually write this stuff? Score!".

I am less inclined to be enthusiastic about PWP and Yaoi, though.

Now that you mention it...I did the same thing for yaoi and shounenai--now I'm hooked...and Kit did it for the Harry Potter slash....I guess powerful writing can transcend an ignorant reader's prejudices. Hmmm. I'll have to think on this...^^::

"Deep Dish" is a good song. So is "Little Plastic Castle" and "Pixie".

But I'll say that about any of the songs on th CDs I bought by her. She's one of the few artists I spent actual money on.

And I'm a bit surprised you hadn't heard of her. She did a song called "32 Flavors" that was on the radio a bunch a few years back, but that was the most-exposed she went, other than to fans, I think.
